Supratik Sarkar

I'm an Enterprise Architect based in Bangalore. For 14 years I've worked on SAP: first as an implementation consultant, configuring the processes a business runs on, and now as the architect who decides how those processes fit together.

That work has taken me across four industries: High-tech, Telecom, Chemical and Energy. The modules changed along the way: S/4HANA, BRIM, GTS, SD, LE, MDG and BIS. The question stayed the same: how do you build a system that a global business can depend on every day? Much of my work sits where order-to-cash meets billing and trade compliance, and in migrations from ECC to S/4HANA.

Along the way I formed a few strong opinions. Predictable systems beat smart ones. Compliance should run in parallel with commerce, not in front of it. Every integration should assume the other end might be slow, down, or wrong. They're written down below.

Outside the day job I build and ship products of my own, including RebaseNest and FireEnough. AI is part of how I work on all of it.

I apply the same thinking to my own life: money, fitness, machines and decisions. The goal isn't mastery of any one of them; it's being 70% competent across many, with systems doing the heavy lifting. Outside of work, I'm a father, a sports and book lover, and someone who believes systems beat willpower every time.
