This is a personal website. There are no accounts, forms or comments, and nothing is sold. Here is everything that measures your visit.

Google Analytics 4

I use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and which links are used. It records:

• the pages you view, the page you came from, and how long you stay;
• your approximate location (country and city), derived from your IP address;
• your device type, operating system, browser, screen size and language;
• four events: cv_request (the CV request link), contact_click (an email link, with which reason you picked), newsletter_click (the Substack link) and lab_outbound (a link out to one of my products).

GA4 sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<ID> to tell one visit from the next. According to Google, GA4 does not log or store IP addresses. Event-level data is kept for the GA4 default period of two months.

To opt out everywhere, use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies for this site in your browser.

Cloudflare

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.

Theme preference

If you use the light/dark switch, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.

Email

If you email me, I see your address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply.
